I burned out, twice

  • I'm a musician, co-founder and board member of three startups;

  • I had two burnouts while building high-performance companies;

  • Healing came from intense self-work (therapy), reconnection, expression, reaching out to many people, and giving myself permission to slow down.

Music saved me

  • Music forced presence when my mind couldn’t rest;

  • It reconnected body, emotion, and identity;

  • It became a language for what I couldn’t say at work and life;

  • Healing started when expression replaced suppression.

It's likely to happen when people don’t feel safe to slow down.
